Hi, I’m Dr. charlie Huntington

I have always been fascinated by other people’s inner worlds and the complexity of human relationships. Just after graduating from college, I realized I didn’t just want to read and write about these topics, as I had been doing as an English major – I wanted to be in the story myself, learning with and helping other people in their journeys. (And, I had my own healing journey to get started on!)

To me, real lives – yours included – are far more meaningful than the most gripping novel or movie. You know how you want your story to go. I will honor where you want to go and help you get there. My clients heal wounds with their partners, find more inner peace, and learn to powerfully and effectively express what’s in their hearts.

Oh, and in one key way, I might be just like you. I thought about therapy for a long time before I actually tried it out. It scared and challenged me – and then it really started to change me. I’m grateful for the distance I’ve come. I want you to have your own experience of empowerment and growth.

MY STORY

I grew up in New England and studied English literature and foreign languages at a small college near Philadelphia. Summers in the New England woods instilled in me a love of the mountains that pointed me to Colorado for graduate school. I feel immensely grateful to call Boulder home. When I’m not seeing clients or conducting psychology research as a postdoctoral researcher, I can be found trail running, rock climbing, making music, reading, and spending time with my partner and friends. I also write articles about psychology and related issues, including for Psychology Today.
