intimacy and men’s issues

It can be difficult for men to have fulfilling and intimate relationships. Perhaps you’re on the dating scene and struggling to connect, or you feel distant from your loved ones, or you can’t seem to find purpose and direction in life. As men, we must wade through so much cultural conditioning to become comfortable expressing our masculinity and manhood in the ways that feel best for us. Working with a therapist – especially another man – can be a courageous step toward crafting the professional and personal life you want.

What intimacy and men’s work looks like

I use traditional therapy techniques and the tools of men’s work to help men reach their personal and professional goals. Traditional therapy techniques help you process painful experiences from the past that impact you today, identify your values and what gives you meaning, and challenge the thoughts and feelings that hold you back from taking decisive action. The tools of men’s work allow us to deeply explore what masculinity means for each of us and find the courage to live that vision in the world.

Participating in men’s groups has shaped so much of who I am today. I know from experience that exploring who you are in front of another man is both vulnerable and transformative. There is no right or wrong way to be a man – but there are ways that will feel more right for you. I believe you have a profound and essential role to play in your family, workplace, and social circles. I would be honored to help you wholeheartedly follow and realize the vision you have for yourself.
